Vocational Visit to HONDA PLANT
Committee’s second avenue of service went into action when we organised a vocational visit for our Annual Event to the HONDA Plant at Pegoh, Alor Gajah, Melaka.
The programme for our group started with a welcome presentation on HONDA Company profile followed by question and answer. A HONDA cap was presented to all participants before we were escorted on the tour of the plant. We visited the various car production facilities such as welding, assembly engine, assembly frame, paint and the tester line for production quality.
Other than HONDA CR-Vs we also witnessed the finished product of the latest HONDA City model that was launched recently. The visit ended with light refreshment at the cafeteria. Thanks to PP CT Gan for offering free ice creams to all 53 participants and the treat cost him RM105.20! Not forgetting to also thank Pres. Tan CS for giving us a delicious lunch at Simpang Empat.
A community Programme to be held annually
Vocational visit provides good exposure to our students especially those young school leavers to explore career opportunities available in commerce and industry. For our club, vocational visit is a MUST have projects in our vocational service activities and we have consistently carried out at least two visits per Committee year.
Investors should PARTICIPATE and in return get to learn something about corporate philosophy such as HONDA’s The Power of Dreams. We participated – Pres. Tan CS, IPP Lioh, PE Tai, PP Robert, PP Chin, PP CT Gan, PP Ng BK, Rtn. Lawrence, Steven, Gan BK and Leong TH.
